Here is a short compilation of some of my favorite quotes from this book. I learned so much and definitely recommend it as your next read!
1. Being effective is more important than being efficient. Apply efficiency to the things that are effective in the first place. What you do is more important than how you do them.
2. Pareto Law/Pareto Principle:
20% of the work produce 80% of the results. Lack of time is actually a lack of priorities.
3. Parkinson’s Law
A task grows in perceived importance and complexity in order to fill the time allocated for its completion.
4. Therefore, the solution is to combine the above two principles:
Identify the few critical tasks that contribute most to income and schedule them with very short and clear deadlines.
5. Ask yourself: Am I inventing things to do to avoid the important? Focus on demonstrating results instead of showing dedication.
6. You are the average of the 5 people you associate with most.
7. If this is the only thing I accomplish today, will I be satisfied with my day?
